At holdhope, We recognize the importance of supporting our children's mental health by supporting parents and families. We also recognize the importance of developing relationships within communities and schools. We have developed partnerships with local schools and student programs in supporting the mental health of middle school students.
We have worked closely with school guidance counselors and other mental health community programs in providing Tier 2 mental health instruction for those students who need a little more support. These 30 minute small group lessons are facilitated by a holdhope trained educator with additional mental health training. holdhope educators can meet with your schools guidance counselor in formulating a plan that best meets the needs of the students.
Tier 2 mental health lessons provide students with opportunities to discuss stress, anxiety, self-care tips, etc in a confidential, safe space. The curriculum has been developed by school counselors, and is used in conjunction with support from the schools guidance office.
Our Student Program also provides each student with a teacher mentor, and students are required to identify one family member that they can connect with at any time. At holdhope we recognize the importance of talking about our mental health, feeling supported, and making connections with others.
